The Memoir

Some stories insist on being told, not because they are extraordinary, but because they are honest.

This memoir grew out of years of reflection, memory, and lived experience — many of which first found their voice here on WORDSOUPS. What began as scattered recollections slowly revealed a larger shape: a story about family, loss, love, and the quiet ways in which life leaves its marks on us.

At its heart, this book is an attempt to remember — and to make sense of what memory carries forward when people, moments, and seasons have passed.

What this memoir is about

This is not a story driven by events alone.
It is shaped by pauses, relationships, silences, and the emotional undercurrents that run beneath everyday life.

The memoir reflects on:

  • Motherhood and family bonds
  • Childhood, growing up, and becoming
  • Loss, grief, and remembrance
  • Time, memory, and the meaning we assign to ordinary moments

It is written quietly, without spectacle, allowing reflection to do the work rather than explanation.

About the writing

Many of the early pieces that led to this book were shared as part of the Memoir Series on WORDSOUPS. That series now stands complete, preserved here as part of the journey that led to the finished work. This book brings together selected stories from that series along with new writing, shaped into a single narrative arc.

Availability

The memoir is available in paperback globally through Amazon.

A final note

This book is not written to persuade or instruct.
It is written to remember.

If you have ever felt that memory itself can be a form of love, this book may speak to you.
