The Place That Wasn’t on My Bucket List

I came across a sign at Niagara Falls:

“CHECK THAT OFF YOUR BUCKET LIST.”

It got me thinking about my own.

The problem is…

I don’t really have one. 😄

Well, except for one place.

Revisiting Calcutta, my birthplace, which I left for my home in Kerala when I was just four, has been on my bucket list for years.

I still haven’t ticked it off.

And then there’s America.

It was never on my bucket list.

But here I am.

Perhaps that’s the funny thing about life.

Some places we put on our list.
Some places life puts on ours.

And sometimes, life gets there first. 😊
